How to program the PIC using PICkit 2 ?
There are three methods
- Using PICkit 2 Software v2.61.00
- Using MPLAB IDE
- Using MPLAB x
Using PICkit 2 Software v2.61.00
This method teaches you to how to program the PIC using PICkit 2 v2.61.00. To begin with Download & Install.Initially connect the PICkit 2 to PC and PIC using proper connectors.Open PICkit 2 software. Automatically detect the device. Import Hex file from containing folder ( File→Import Hex→Open Hex File ). Write the Hex code to PIC using WRITE Button. Verify the previous operation using VERIFY Button
Using MPLAB IDE
This method teaches you to how to program the PIC using MPLAB IDE. To begin with Download & Install MPLAB IDE from Microchip. Initially connect the PICkit 2 to PC and PIC using proper connectors.Open MPLAB, select PICkit 2 (programmer → select programmer → PICkit 2 ), after PICkit 2 is Ready import the Hex file and Finally write the Hex file to target device (programmer → program)
